Traditionally, alcohol and gallstone disease were considered as the main risk factors for pancreatitis. Actual data available show the multifactorial nature of diseases. Objective: To identify risk factors of chronic pancreatitis, and risk factors for complications of the disease. The study includes patients with chronic pancreatitis (n = 86). We used clinical, laboratory research methods and CT of abdominal cavity organ / ultrasound of abdominal cavity organ. Statistic analysis was performed with the use of STATISTICA 10 programme adapted for biomedical researches. In 52.8% of young and middle-aged patients chronic pancreatitis was associated with a way of life: the following risk factors were observed: A+N+N. At young and middle age, generation of complications is associated with the presence of immunological risk factors, and at elderly and senile age - with different metabolic and toxic factors (ROC 0.641 and 0.833 respectively).
