The article presents the etiology, pathogenesis, classification, main clinical manifestations, diagnostic criteria, the basic principles of conservative and surgical treatment of Crohn’s disease in children. The authors highlighted the features of clinical manifestations, data of instrumental and laboratory studies in various forms of Crohn’s disease in children, as well as differential diagnosis. The authors described the principles for determining the severity of the disease, modern ideas about the new treatment options for Crohn’s disease using biological therapy. The article describes the nature of operations in complicated forms of the disease, postoperative monitoring of patients after surgery, and assessment of the severity in remission.
