В обзоре данных зарубежной литературы последних лет рассматривается отмечающийся в настоящее время постепенный пересмотр представлений о вирулентности микробов, обитающих на коже, и переход к изучению сложных взаимоотношений организма с её микробиомом. Демонстрируется сдвиг парадигмы в интерпретации роли микробиоты кожи с в основном патогенной на также присущую ей функцию защиты как самой кожи, так и организма человека в целом.

Skin microbiota as a system of defense and source of diseases
We are considering a gradual revision of views on the virulence of some microbes colonizing hu-man skin, and transition to study complex relationships of human organism with skin microbiota. We demonstrate the shift of paradigm in the interpretation of role of skin microbiota from predominantly pathogenic to its manifestation of defense function both for skin and for human health.
