This article provides an overview of the available literature on the methods of behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapy of alcohol addiction. Were analyzed electronic databases: “Current Contents”, “ETOH”, “Medline”, “PsycInfo”, “PubMed” since 1966. The review includes studies on the effectiveness of different methods of analysis of behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapy, and the comparison of this group of methods with other types of interventions for alcohol addiction. Considered various pathogenetic mechanisms of behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapy for alcohol addiction. It was shown the efficiency of this group of methods, depending on the individual clinical characteristics of the disease and the characteristics of its formation. Spend analysis readings, restrictions on the use of behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapy. Shown the questions of costeffectiveness and economic efficiency of their use.
