The liver structure of the offspring of white rats was studied under conditions of the action of a low dose lead acetate (1 mg/kg of body weight) female during pregnancy. Histological, morphometric and informational analysis of the liver structures in the control and experiment in newborn rat was carried out. It has been shown that prenatal exposure to low doses of lead acetate does not cause significant damage to the liver structure of newborns. Lymphocytic infiltration in the portal area plethora of central vein, expansion of hemocapillaries were found. A statistically significant increase in the size of the nucleus of the hepatocytes, the number of foci of hematopoiesis in the parenchyma of liver, the expansion of hemocapillaries in the experiment compared with the control was established. The observed changes can be considered as a magnification of an adaptive response to the action of anthropogenic factors in the relationship between the fetus and the maternal organism.
