The article highlights the results of the task “Develop and implement a method for assessing the risk of developing diseases among workers employed under conditions of exposure to a chemical production factor, based on hygienic and molecular biological research” of the sectoral scientific and technical program of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus “Health and habitat”. The aim of the study was to identify genetic and hygienic criteria for the formation of risk groups among workers employed under the influence of chemical production factor, and to develop a method for assessing the risk of developing diseases based on them. The working conditions were studied, questioning and analysis of morbidity with temporary disability of workers employed in the conditions of exposure to chemical production factor were carried out. As a result of the research, the characteristics of hygienic and genetic criteria, which increase the risk of developing diseases in workers, are given. The developed method for assessing the risk of developing diseases among workers employed under conditions of exposure to a chemical production factor will make it possible to determine the degree of risk of developing diseases among workers that can be used by hygienists who carry out state sanitary supervision, occupational physicians and other specialists of health care organizations performing inpatient care and (or) on an outpatient basis.
