The article presents the results of anonymous interviews of 1311 female students from the 1st - 6th year of medical, preventive and pediatric faculties of the Belarusian State Medical University from 17 to 25 years old, whose average age was 20.9 ± 0.8 years, on a special questionnaire containing questions on the topic Premenstrual syndrome (PMS). To assess the intensity of pain, a visual analogue scale (VAS) (Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), Huskisson E. S., 1974) was used. The prevalence of premenstrual syndrome, clinical manifestations, dependence of PMS symptoms on stresses and mental loads among all courses of medical, pediatric, medical and prophylactic, stomatological faculties of BSMU are analyzed. Studied medical activities, which are conducted by students in order to facilitate premenstrual disorders. The prevalence of symptoms of PMS and features of its manifestations by regions of the Republic of Belarus is determined. As a result of the research, it was found that 76% of BSMU students were diagnosed with PMS, mostly in mild severity (65%), and the stressors, surroundings, increased psycho-emotional and physical stresses related to factors contributing to the increase in PMS symptoms. 54% of female students performed drug therapy for premenstrual disorders, 89% of them noted a positive effect of treatment (when taking COC - 98%). It was also noted that students who lived permanently before entering the university in the area affected by the Chernobyl NPP, 90% noted PMS.
