Тромбоцитопения является самой частой гематологической аномалией плода и новорождённого и регистрируется при рождении у 1–5% детей. У 0,1–0,5% новорождённых тромбоцитопения является тяжёлой.

Thrombocytopenia is the most incident fetal and neonatal abnormality, recorded in 1–5% of children at birth. In 0.1–0.5% of neonates thrombocytopenia is severe.
