In this study, to assess the severity of the condition of patients with acute purulent rhinosinusitis used visual analogue scale (VAS). Evaluations were made by the patients themselves. Mild determined when assessing VAS from 0 to 3 points, the average severity was determined by assessing the VAS from 3 to 7 points and heavy severity was determined by assessing the VAS from 7 to 10 points. The results showed that in acute purulent rhinosinusitis prevailed moderate in the assessment of patients (44.8%). Easy and severe assessment occurred in 27.6% each. The average value of VAS in patients with acute purulent rhinosinusitis was 5.02 points, which is a factor adversely affecting the quality of life. The ratio of the number of out-patients with mild, moderate and severe acute purulent rhinosinusitis was 1:1.6:1.
