Neurological manifestations and complications of celiac enteropathy in children and adolescents
Celiac disease is a systemic autoimmune disease with diverse manifestations. This disorder is characterized by abnormal immunological responsiveness to ingested gluten in genetically susceptible individuals. Gluten-sensitive enteropathy, is only one aspect of a range of possible manifestations of celiac disease. A variety of neurological disorders have been reported in association with celiac disease including epilepsy, ataxia, and neuropathy. We report about one patient with neurological manifestation related with celiac disease.
